If civilization as we know it collapsed, but you survived, where would you go and how would you continue to survive? No reliable sources of energy, water, food or shelter. You have weapons, a small amount of manpower, and you want to avoid the cities and the remnants of the government. (And if you suggest leaving the US, you have to tell me how you're going to get to wherever you want to go in the face of no commercial planes or boats).
